However, your child is not obliged to attend any of the religious education classes. As an alternative, you can also register your child for ethics classes – no matter if for ideological or religious reasons. Nevertheless, please note that your child is obliged to attend either religious education or ethics classes. At the age of 14 children can legally choose their religious affiliation.
